Job Title: Bookkeeper & Financial Specialist We are a small business (10 employees) seeking a part-time Bookkeeper & Financial Specialist to join our team who has a strong background in collections. While the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payable, month-end reconciliation, the biggest and most time consuming part of this job will be in customer AR collections. Additional duties include preparing financial documents as required (cash flow statements, monthly and quarterly financial statements, etc). The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong background in finance or accounting. Primary Responsibilities: -*Manage accounts receivables, including invoicing and collection efforts* -Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees -Process accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to vendors -Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions at the end of each month -Run monthly sales commissions, quarterly bonus calculations, and generate our monthly revenue recognition reports Secondary Responsibilities: -Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement -Create and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries and documentation of process tasks in the role -Perform other admin tasks as assigned by the management team including (but not limited to): Financial Statement Prep, Commissions Calculations, Bonus Pool Calculations, Revenue Recognition, State and federal compliance and paperwork, processing action items from the mail, and other duties assigned etc. Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field -3+ years of experience in finance or accounting -Strong collections experience + -Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently -Professional attitude and demeanor -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks Online +) -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively This is a part-time contractor position, with a maximum of 32 hours per week. Typical workload will be 15-20hrs per week. The successful candidate will be compensated on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience.
