📌 Bookkeeper Needed – Ongoing Part-Time Role | Shade Spec (Australian Small Business) We're Shade Spec – an Australian residential business specialising in the supply and installation of awnings, and outdoor shade solutions. We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper to own our ongoing financial admin so our operations team can stay focused on what we do best. 🔧 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING This is a recurring, part-time engagement covering: • Weekly bank reconciliation • Fortnightly payroll processing • Fortnightly superannuation payments • Monthly management accounts • Quarterly BAS preparation and lodgement • GST reconciliations • Deferred revenue management – our customer invoices are prepaid, so you'll need to correctly hold income as a liability and recognise it as revenue upon job completion ✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Based in a country near Australia – timezone must be close for meeting to discuss issues • Must understand Australian tax, super, and BAS obligations • Solid experience with Xero • Proven experience processing payroll under the Australian Fair Work / STP framework • Understanding of deferred/prepaid revenue accounting • Reliable, deadline-driven, and happy to work independently • Experience with trade, construction, or home services businesses is a bonus • Understand best practice for ensure accounts are correct.
