Part-Time QuickBooks Bookkeeper About the Role We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks experience to help maintain accurate financial records and support the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping needs. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently. The right person will help keep our books clean, transactions categorized properly, accounts reconciled, and financial information organized for leadership and our CPA. Key Responsibilities * Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online * Record, review, and categorize income, expenses, transfers, and other transactions * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms * Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records * Prepare and send invoices as needed * Track vendor bills, payments, reimbursements, and outstanding balances * Review transactions for accuracy and proper documentation * Organize receipts, invoices, statements, and financial records * Generate basic monthly financial reports, including profit and loss and balance sheet reports * Assist with month-end close and year-end preparation * Identify discrepancies, missing information, or unusual transactions * Communicate clearly with leadership regarding financial questions or needed documentation * Coordinate with the company’s CPA or tax professional as needed * Help improve bookkeeping systems and processes as the company grows Qualifications * Strong experience with QuickBooks Online required * Previous bookkeeping experience required * Understanding of basic accounting principles * Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations * Comfortable managing accounts payable and accounts receivable * Highly detail-oriented and organized * Strong communication and follow-through * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Comfortable handling confidential financial information * Reliable, proactive, and trustworthy Preferred Experience * Experience supporting small businesses or growing companies * Experience with multiple entities or company divisions * Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Gusto, ADP, or QuickBooks Payroll * Experience with invoicing, bill pay, reimbursements, and expense tracking * Experience working with healthcare, dental, staffing, or professional service businesses is a plus * Comfortable working remotely and using cloud-based tools Ideal Candidate You take pride in clean, accurate books and enjoy bringing order to financial details. You are the kind of person who notices when something does not look right, follows up until it is resolved, and helps business owners feel confident that their financial records are current and organized. Schedule This is a part-time position. Estimated hours may vary based on company needs, but the role is expected to require approximately 5–15 hours per week. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and scope of responsibilities.
