Brand Licensing and Development Manager

We are a fast-growing beauty and cosmetics brand seeking an experienced Brand Licensing & Partnership Development Manager to identify, secure, and manage licensing opportunities with globally recognized entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, and character brands. This role will play a key part in expanding our product portfolio through strategic collaborations and licensed collections. Position Overview The Brand Licensing & Partnership Development Manager will be responsible for researching, pitching, negotiating, and developing relationships with licensors, licensing agencies, and intellectual property owners. The ideal candidate has experience in licensing, business development, brand partnerships, or entertainment marketing and possesses a strong network within the licensing industry. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue licensing opportunities aligned with our beauty and cosmetics brand. Develop relationships with licensing agencies, entertainment companies, character owners, fashion brands, celebrities, and intellectual property holders. Research market trends and recommend licensing properties with strong consumer demand. Create compelling licensing proposals and partnership presentations. Initiate outreach to licensors and negotiate licensing agreements. Coordinate with legal teams on contract reviews and licensing requirements. Manage licensing application processes and approval submissions. Serve as the primary point of contact between licensors and internal teams. Track licensing opportunities, renewal dates, and partnership pipelines. Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to create successful licensed collections. Attend industry trade shows, licensing expos, and networking events when applicable. Provide regular reports on partnership activity, pipeline progress, and revenue opportunities. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in brand licensing, business development, partnerships, entertainment marketing, or related fields. Existing relationships within licensing, entertainment, fashion, beauty, or consumer products industries preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Experience presenting to executives and external partners. Understanding of licensing contracts, royalty structures, and approval processes. Highly organized with strong project management abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Preferred Experience Beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or consumer products industry experience. Experience securing partnerships with entertainment, character, celebrity, or lifestyle brands. Familiarity with major licensing agencies and intellectual property portfolios. Attendance at licensing industry events and trade shows. Compensation Options Base Salary + Commission Commission Only Retainer + Performance Bonus Project-Based Contract Success Metrics Number of qualified licensing opportunities sourced. Licensing agreements secured. Revenue generated from licensed partnerships. Speed of deal execution. Long-term partnership growth and renewal rates. Ideal Candidate A proactive dealmaker who knows how to open doors, build relationships with licensors, and turn brand collaborations into profitable product launches. Experience with beauty, cosmetics, entertainment, character licensing, and celebrity partnerships is highly desirable.
