Build UI/UX

We are a UK-based software development company looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to support us across a range of web applications, SaaS platforms and bespoke software projects. We need someone who can take business requirements, user journeys and existing system functionality and turn them into clear, intuitive and professional interfaces. This is not purely a graphic design role. You must understand user experience, application workflows, data-heavy interfaces and how designs will ultimately be developed. Responsibilities Create user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes Design responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile Improve existing application interfaces and user journeys Translate complex business processes into simple, intuitive experiences Create and maintain reusable design systems and component libraries Work collaboratively with developers, project managers and stakeholders Prepare organised Figma files with clear developer handover notes Review developed interfaces and identify inconsistencies or usability issues Consider accessibility, responsiveness and practical development constraints throughout the design process Required Experience Strong experience designing SaaS platforms, dashboards or business applications Advanced knowledge of Figma, including components, variants and Auto Layout A solid understanding of UX principles and user-centred design Experience designing forms, tables, dashboards, navigation structures and multi-step workflows Ability to create consistent design systems Good understanding of responsive web design Ability to communicate clearly and explain the reasoning behind design decisions Experience working directly with software development teams Desirable Experience Mobile application design Storybook or component-based development workflows Familiarity with Material Design or similar design frameworks Experience with complex B2B, CRM, finance or workflow-management systems Basic understanding of HTML, CSS or front-end development constraints Initial Deliverables The first project is expected to include: Reviewing the supplied requirements and existing materials Producing the main user journeys and interface structure Creating wireframes for review Producing high-fidelity responsive designs Building a reusable Figma component library Creating an interactive prototype Preparing the completed designs for developer handover There may be ongoing work available across several projects for the right person.
