SR Business Central Consultant — Multi-Entity Consolidation and Dimensions - available immediately

We are seeking a senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional finance consultant to help configure and standardize a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. This is a focused finance-configuration engagement—not a full ERP implementation, customization project, or data-entry assignment. The objective is to configure and regear the existing ledgers so our internal accounting team can subsequently load, reconcile, consolidate, and report financial activity. The consultant should be available to begin promptly. We prefer a fixed-fee engagement once the scope and assumptions have been confirmed through a brief scoping discussion. Current environment The anticipated company structure is: U.S. operating company — USD; already active in Business Central Peru operating company — PEN; already established Philippines operating company — PHP; already established Colombia operating company — COP; to be established BV Holdco company — primarily for purchase-accounting entries Consolidation company — USD reporting company Some Holdco and Consolidation company shells were created during prior projects. The consultant will need to assess whether they should be repurposed or rebuilt. Scope of work Review and standardize the existing company configurations. Create or complete the Colombia, BV Holdco, and Consolidation companies. Configure each entity’s local chart of accounts and mapping to a common consolidated chart of accounts. Configure multi-currency consolidation, translation, and limited intercompany eliminations. Establish the structure needed to reproduce the consolidated financial position as of December 31, 2025 through reconciled opening trial balances. Configure the ledgers so our internal team can load and reconcile vendor- and customer-level activity beginning January 1, 2026. Establish the Department dimension, which is not currently used, across the applicable entities and the Consolidation company. Load the department-code structure and configure defaults, posting controls, consolidation behavior, and department-level reporting. Recommend the appropriate treatment of activity posted before Department is implemented, potentially through a default department code. Configure financial reports in the Consolidation company, including: Consolidated balance sheet Consolidated income statement Consolidated cash-flow statement Reporting by entity Reporting by department Document the completed configuration and provide knowledge transfer to the internal finance team. The engagement does not include loading and reconciling the underlying accounting activity. It is intended to establish the Business Central configuration that will allow our team to perform that work. Volume and complexity Transaction volumes are limited. The U.S. company is the largest, and its entire general-ledger history contains approximately 67,000 lines. The other companies have lower volumes. Intercompany activity is minimal—generally one or two funding transactions and one transfer-pricing charge per entity each month.
