Business Development Manager – Pharma Congresses & Medical Events We are a growing company with two established software products in the pharmaceutical congress and medical events space. Our solutions are used by top 10 global pharma companies and are designed for pharma companies, agencies, and stakeholders active in medical congresses, conferences, and related scientific events. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities globally. This is a results-driven role, ideal for someone who understands how congress-driven sales work and how to sell into pharma, healthcare, or related event ecosystems. Responsibilities Identify and qualify new leads within pharma, biotech, healthcare, or general congress/event markets Conduct outbound business development (email, LinkedIn, direct outreach) Engage with pharma companies, agencies, event organizers, and sponsors Set up and/or close sales conversations Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities Provide market feedback and insights from prospects Leverage industry congress knowledge (virtual or in-person experience is a plus) Who We're Looking For - This role is not for entry-level candidates or pure generalists. Required - Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Lead - Experience in pharma, life sciences, healthcare events, or general congresses - Strong understanding of congresses, conferences, and sponsorship-driven business models - Experience selling B2B products or services - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results Strong Bonus - Existing network in pharma, healthcare, or general congress/event ecosystems - Experience selling congress-related platforms, software, or services - Familiarity with global congress calendars and major industry events Engagement & Compensation - Flexible structure or commission-only (based on experience) - Long-term opportunity for the right candidate - Fully remote Please include: - A brief overview of your relevant congress or events experience - Examples of similar products or services you've sold - Your preferred working model (commission, retainer, or hybrid) - Any existing network or relationships you believe are relevant Applications without pharma, medical, or general congress experience will not be considered.
