Business Information & Customer Experience Researcher – USA Remote

We are seeking a detail-oriented U.S.-based freelancer to conduct short business research calls and collect accurate information about local service providers. The project focuses on understanding how businesses respond to customer inquiries, what services they offer, their service areas, availability, and general pricing or estimate procedures. Responsibilities Make outbound calls to assigned businesses. Follow the provided research questions. Confirm the services offered. Verify the areas they serve. Ask about availability and scheduling procedures. Ask about estimates and pricing when appropriate. Evaluate the professionalism and helpfulness of the representative. Document the information accurately. Submit a brief report after each assignment. Requirements Must currently be located in the USA. Excellent spoken English. Comfortable communicating with businesses by phone. Professional phone etiquette. Strong attention to detail. Reliable and organized. Regular mobile or landline number required. Virtual/VoIP numbers are not accepted. Previous experience in market research, customer service, mystery shopping, phone surveys, business verification, or quality assurance is preferred. Compensation & Schedule Hourly Upwork contract. Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially. Flexible working schedule. Calls should be completed during the assigned businesses’ operating hours. Potential for ongoing assignments.
