Business Research Assistant – LinkedIn & Companies House Research Overview I'm looking for a detail-oriented researcher to build a database of small businesses within specific industries and locations. This is a research project only. You will be gathering publicly available business information and presenting it in a structured spreadsheet. Deliverable For each milestone, I will assign one industry sector and a geographic area. Your task is to identify **20 businesses** that match the criteria and record the required information in a spreadsheet. Information to collect For each business, provide: * Company name * Industry/Sector * Town/City * Founder or Managing Director's name * LinkedIn profile of the Founder/Managing Director or the company LinkedIn page if the founder cannot be identified * Company status (Active) * Any other information that you pick up while researching the above Research sources Please use LinkedIn as the primary research source. If you are unable to find sufficient businesses using LinkedIn, please stop and notify me before using any alternative sources. Deliverable format Please provide the information in Excel or Google Sheets. Accuracy and consistency are more important than speed. Project structure This project will be completed in multiple milestones. * Each milestone will cover one assigned industry sector. * The initial milestone will require research on 20 companies. * If the work meets expectations, additional milestones will be awarded for other sectors. Paid trial To ensure we're a good fit, shortlisted candidates may first be asked to complete a **paid trial of 5 companies** using the same format and requirements. If the quality is good, the remaining companies for the milestone will be awarded immediately, followed by additional milestones for future sectors. Proposal When applying, please include: * A brief summary of your experience with online business research. * The research tools you typically use. * Your fixed price for researching and delivering 20 companies in the required format. * Your estimated turnaround time for the first milestone.
