Business Write-Up Specialist (Deal Summaries for SMB Acquisitions)

As a Business Write-Up Analyst, you’ll take the raw materials of a deal, the CIM (Confidential Information Memorandum), financial statements, and internal notes, and transform them into clear, compelling deal summaries (written and short video) that highlight the opportunity, risks, and strategic fit for each client. This role exists because the write-up is not just a report, it’s the pivotal analysis that helps clients decide whether a business is the right fit for them. Each summary tells the story of a potential acquisition, spotlighting the opportunity, flagging concerns, and equipping clients to make informed, life-changing decisions. What You’ll Do Review CIMs, which outline the business overview, financial performance, and operations of companies for sale. Analyze financial statements (P&Ls, balance sheets, tax returns) to identify add-backs, trends, and risks. Complete top-line financial calculations using provided deal calculators. Fill out a standardized deal scorecard summarizing key metrics and qualitative observations. Produce decision-ready write-ups that balance clarity, accuracy, and strategic storytelling, typically within a 1,000–1,500 word count range. Record a quick walkthrough/screenshare (3-5 minutes) video discussing the writeup opportunity Deliver same-day turnaround for assigned write-ups to keep clients’ deal flow moving at pace. Ongoing Work: After a successful trial, you can expect 30–50 write-ups per month. Next Steps Due to the confidential nature of our work, shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief call and asked to sign an NDA before receiving example materials and a short paid trial.
