CAD Designer - Jewelry

We are a growing jewelry company seeking a highly skilled and creative Jewelry CAD Designer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to create professional CAD designs for custom jewelry, working from concepts, sketches, reference images, and detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of jewelry construction and be able to turn ideas into accurate, production-ready CAD models. Responsibilities: • Prepare production-ready CAD files suitable for casting and manufacturing • Translate sketches, concepts, reference images, and verbal instructions into accurate CAD designs • Design jewelry with proper proportions, stone settings, prongs, bezels, channels, and other structural elements • Make design revisions quickly and accurately • Provide renderings when needed for client approval or presentation Requirements: • Strong experience with jewelry CAD design • Proficiency with professional CAD software such as Rhino and MatrixGold. • Strong understanding of jewelry construction and manufacturing • Excellent knowledge of gemstone shapes, proportions, and settings • Strong understanding of measurements, dimensions, and proportions • Ability to accurately interpret drawings, reference images, and design concepts • Creative eye with the ability to develop attractive and commercially viable jewelry designs • A portfolio of previous jewelry CAD work is required Position: This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role as our design workload increases.
