3D CAD Designer Needed – Create a Large 3D Printable Industrial Mining Diorama (1000 × 600 mm)

About the Project We are looking for an experienced 3D CAD Designer / Industrial Model Designer to create a highly detailed, 3D-printable scale model of an industrial mining and mineral processing facility based on reference images and layout information. The finished model will be 3D printed as a large exhibition display measuring approximately 1000 mm × 600 mm and used at trade shows, client presentations, and marketing events. The reference image shows the level of detail and overall style we are aiming for. Scope of Work Design a complete industrial mining facility including: Open-pit mine Processing plant Crushing and screening facilities Conveyor systems Thickener tanks Water treatment ponds Storage silos Industrial buildings Workshops Roads and terrain Heavy mining equipment Piping and structural steel Landscaping and site details The final result should resemble a professional architectural scale model. 3D Printing Requirements The model must be designed specifically for 3D printing, not just visualization. Finished Size 1000 mm × 600 mm Height proportional to the terrain and buildings Design Requirements Split into multiple printable sections for assembly Hidden joining system with alignment pins or locating features Optimized wall thicknesses Minimal support material where possible Durable enough for repeated exhibition use Fine surface details suitable for painting after printing Deliverables STL files ready for printing STEP files (preferred) Native CAD files (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, or Blender) Assembly guide Numbered parts Exploded assembly view Recommended print orientation for each part Preferred Skills We're looking for someone with experience in: CAD Design Product Design Industrial Design Scale Models Miniatures Architectural Models Dioramas Fusion 360 SolidWorks Blender Rhino 3D Printing (FDM and Resin) Experience designing exhibition models or museum-quality display pieces is a strong advantage.
