3D / CAD Designer — Small NFC Puck (print-ready, 2 shape variants) — start ASAP
Worldwide
We're a consumer-product startup building a small NFC puck you tap with your phone. We need an experienced CAD designer to turn our spec into clean, print-ready 3D models. This is a small, well-defined job — we have exact dimensions, a logo, and reference images ready, and we'd like to start right away. What you'll design A compact puck that houses an NFC inlay and a magnet, with our sunrise logo debossed into the top. Two shape variants, same height and internal layout: Round — 60 mm diameter × 15 mm high Square with rounded corners — 50 × 50 mm × 15 mm high Technical specs Height 15 mm for both; flat, stable base. Top face: sunrise logo (vector attached), centered and debossed ~0.6–1.0 mm (advise best depth for a clean print). NFC recess: Ø15 mm × 2 mm, centered, just below the top face so a phone tap reads it — leave a ~1–1.5 mm top wall. Magnet recess: Ø15 mm × 4 mm, centered in the base. Keep a thin wall between the NFC and the magnet (we may add a ferrite disc — please allow ~0.5–1 mm). Add sensible press-fit / glue tolerances for the NFC and magnet (advise). Single-material part for 3D printing (FDM and SLA); walls ≥ 1.5–2 mm. Propose the cleanest way to insert the components (e.g. glued base cap or press-fit bottom). Soft, premium rounded edges — feel free to propose radii. Colours (renders only — two separate variants, not combined) Matte black (primary) Sunrise yellow We'd like renders of each shape in each colour. Deliverables Parametric source file (Fusion 360 preferred; SolidWorks / Parasolid fine) so we can adjust later. Print-ready STEP (.stp) and STL for both shapes. Debossed logo integrated and centred on both shapes. Renders: both shapes × both colours (4 images). Brief notes on recommended tolerances, print settings, and assembly. You're a great fit if you have Strong product / industrial CAD (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks). Experience designing for 3D printing, including press-fit recesses for electronics and magnets. Clean parametric modelling and vector debossing. Rendering (KeyShot / Fusion) — a plus. Please share a portfolio with similar small enclosures or printed products. Timeline ASAP — this is small and well-scoped. Tell us your earliest delivery date. Budget Fixed-price — please include your quote along with your earliest delivery date. To apply, please include Relevant portfolio samples. The native file format you'll deliver in. Your earliest delivery date. A fixed-price quote. Any tolerance or assembly recommendations / questions. Ownership: Work-for-hire — we own all deliverables and source files. Happy to sign an NDA.
