CAD/Revit Files for Grates, Drains, Lintels & T-Bars (From Existing Drawings)
Worldwide
Job Description We're Buda (buda.com.au), a manufacturer/supplier of grates, drains, lintels and T-bars. We need an experienced CAD/Revit drafter to convert our complete product catalogue into CAD-ready and Revit-ready files that our customers (architects, engineers and builders) can drop straight into their projects. This is not a from-scratch design job — we already have product drawings (dimensions, specs and technical detail) for every item in the catalogue, along with reference material on our website at buda.com.au. Your job is to turn that existing documentation into clean, accurate, industry-standard CAD and Revit files. Scope of work Review our existing product drawings and specifications (PDF/technical drawings, supplied at project start) for the full range of grates, drains, lintels and T-bars Produce accurate 2D CAD files (DWG/DXF) for each product Produce parametric Revit families (RFA) for each product, with correctly configured types, materials, parameters and connectors where relevant Ensure all files reflect correct real-world dimensions and tolerances as per our source drawings Organise and name files in a consistent, logical structure by product category Test that Revit families load and behave correctly (no errors, geometry displays properly, parameters function as expected) What we'll provide Full set of existing product drawings and technical specs for every item Access to buda.com.au for product context, categories and imagery A point of contact for questions on dimensions/specs as you work through the catalogue What we're looking for Proven experience creating Revit families (RFA) and CAD drawings (DWG/DXF) for building products — ideally drainage, grating, metalwork or similar building materials Strong understanding of parametric modelling and Revit family best practices (type catalogues, shared parameters, nested families where appropriate) High attention to dimensional accuracy — these files will be used directly by architects and engineers for specification and design Ability to work methodically through a large catalogue with consistent quality and naming conventions Good communication and ability to flag any drawings that are unclear or need clarification Deliverables Revit families (.rfa) for every product in the catalogue CAD files (DWG/DXF) for every product in the catalogue Organised folder structure, delivered in stages (by product category) for review as you go How to apply Please include: Examples of Revit families or CAD content you've created for similar building products (links or attachments) Your estimated timeline and rate (fixed price per product/category or hourly) for a catalogue of this size Any questions about scope before we share the full drawing set We're happy to start with a small batch (one product category) as a paid trial to confirm fit before committing to the full catalogue.
