CRO Consultant - Booking Funnel Optimisation for UK Motorcycle Training Marketplace

Summary

We're RideTo, the UK's #1 platform for booking motorcycle training. We connect learner riders with training schools across the UK - think of us as a vertical marketplace for motorcycle education. We're looking for an experienced CRO consultant to help us systematically improve conversion across our booking funnel: search results, school/course page, checkout, and confirmation. What we need We don't need someone to run tests for us. We need someone who can audit, think, and guide - then we'll execute together. Specifically: • Heuristic and data-driven audit of our funnel • Hypothesis generation and prioritisation • Test design (what to test, how to measure, sample size, duration) • Joint analysis of results after we run the tests How we want to start We'd like to begin with a paid trial focused on a single step of our funnel. This would include: • Full audit (heuristic + behavioural data review) • Session recording and heatmap analysis • Funnel drop-off analysis • Deliverable: Prioritised hypothesis backlog with test designs for the top recommendations If the trial goes well, we'd move to an ongoing engagement covering the full funnel on a monthly retainer basis. Our analytics stack PostHog (event tracking, funnels, feature flags), GA4, Microsoft Clarity. We're open to adding tools if your process requires something specific - tell us what you use and why. What we're looking for • Proven CRO experience - ideally with marketplaces, booking platforms, or e-commerce with a conversion funnel (not just landing pages) • Someone who works from evidence, not gut feel - we value structured frameworks and clear reasoning • Comfortable working with behavioural data (session recordings, heatmaps, funnel analytics) • Strong communicator who can explain the "why" behind every recommendation In your proposal, please: 1. Share a portfolio piece or sample deliverable from a previous CRO engagement - we want to see how you think and what your output looks like 2. Walk us through how you'd approach the trial audit - your process, 3. Share your hourly rate and estimated hours for the trial scope Please don't send an AI-generated cover letter. We'll know, and we'll skip it. We'd rather read three honest sentences about why this is a good fit than two polished paragraphs that say nothing.
