UX/CRO Partner for an Early-Stage Dating Platform

I’m looking for someone to help me improve the conversion rate of an early-stage dating and introductions platform. The platform is designed primarily for Western expats living in Thailand and Thai women looking for meaningful relationships. Over time, the vision is to expand across Southeast Asia. The product is already live and attracts more than 1,000 visitors per week, but too few visitors become members. That’s the challenge I want to solve. About me I’ve worked in IT for more than 30 years, but UX, conversion optimisation and consumer psychology are completely new disciplines for me. I built most of this product myself with the help of AI, which has been an incredible development partner. The product has now reached a stage where I believe experienced human insight will create the biggest improvements. I ask a lot of questions—not because I doubt your expertise, but because I genuinely want to understand why users behave the way they do and what makes products successful. I’m looking for someone who enjoys explaining their thinking, challenging my assumptions and helping me become better at this. The challenge The platform already attracts visitors. The problem is converting those visitors into members. I’m looking for someone who can help me understand where people lose trust, where friction exists, which improvements are worth testing and, just as importantly, which ideas should be discarded. I’m much more interested in understanding why something works than simply being told what to change. The product This is not an attempt to build the next Tinder. I’m deliberately building something smaller, calmer and based on trust rather than endless messaging or addictive engagement. Protecting that identity is just as important as improving conversion. The market The platform is built primarily for Thailand. It connects Western expats with Thai women, meaning the product sits between two different cultures, languages and expectations. Relationships, communication, trust and privacy don’t always follow the same patterns as in Western markets, so I’m looking for someone who is curious about the local context rather than simply applying standard Western UX practices. Experience with Thailand or Southeast Asia is a significant advantage, although it isn’t required. The collaboration I’m not looking for someone who delivers a report and disappears. I’m looking for someone I can think out loud with. Someone who enjoys discussing ideas, isn’t afraid to disagree with me, and can explain not only what they recommend—but why. I hope this becomes a long-term collaboration as the product continues to evolve. How I build products This project is intentionally being built with limited resources. I’m not backed by investors, and I’m not trying to build the next billion-dollar startup. I believe great products don’t have to start with huge budgets. They are built through curiosity, experimentation and hundreds of thoughtful improvements over time. I’m looking for someone who enjoys working that way—someone who likes finding smart, practical solutions instead of expensive ones.
