California Behavioral Health Licensing Consultant Needed – Southern California Project Overview We are acquiring an established behavioral health treatment facility in Southern California and are seeking an experienced consultant to lead the licensing and certification process for adding outpatient behavioral health services. We are looking for a consultant with a proven track record of successfully obtaining California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) approvals for outpatient behavioral health programs. This is a project-based consulting engagement with the potential for additional compliance and operational work. Scope of Work The selected consultant will: * Evaluate our current facility and determine the most appropriate outpatient services to add. * Advise on licensing requirements for: * Outpatient Services * Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) * Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) (if appropriate) * Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), if applicable * Prepare and complete all California DHCS licensing and certification applications. * Develop or review all required policies and procedures. * Identify staffing, clinical, and regulatory requirements. * Assist with Medi-Cal certification, if applicable. * Prepare the organization for state inspections and surveys. * Provide project management from planning through approval. Required Qualifications Please apply only if you have: * Demonstrated experience obtaining California DHCS behavioral health licenses. * Experience with outpatient behavioral health, substance use disorder, or mental health treatment programs. * Knowledge of California licensing regulations and compliance requirements. * Experience preparing organizations for state inspections. * Strong communication and project management skills.
