We are seeking an experienced California attorney with a strong background in Special Needs Trusts and trust administration to advise and assist a successor trustee during the administration of an existing trust. Project Overview The trust owns residential real estate that is currently being prepared for sale. This property is the only asset in the trust. It was placed there by the mother of the beneficiary. The primary beneficiary will be relocating to new housing following the sale. We are looking for an attorney who can guide the successor trustee through the administration process while ensuring full compliance with California trust law and applicable public benefit rules. Scope of Services The ideal attorney should be able to: - Advise the successor trustee on fiduciary duties and trust administration. - Review trust documents and any amendments. - Help preserve the beneficiary's eligibility for SSI, Medi-Cal, and other public benefits. - Provide practical guidance throughout the administration until completion.
