Call Center / QA Lead (Part-time)
Worldwide
OVERVIEW: We're a B2B lead generation company. Part of what we run is a phone-verification team: Callers work leads every day, confirm who's genuinely interested, and pass the qualified ones to our clients. Whether a day makes money comes down to a small, knowable set of things going right. We already know what they are. We've mapped them into a checklist. What we need is a reliable person to run that checklist a few times a day and make sure nothing slips through, because when something does, we usually don't find out until the day's revenue is already gone. This is not a role where you'll be asked to invent process or "figure out our operation." We've done that part. You're the person who runs the system we built and tells us, with evidence, that it's healthy, or catches it early when it isn't. The actual work: 2–3 check-ins at fixed daily times, morning, midday, end of day. The same times every day. Reliability on the schedule is the whole job, not a detail of it. Each check-in is roughly 30 to 45 minutes running a defined checklist across a few dashboards: Are the right leads going out fast, are phone numbers matching at a healthy rate, are callers working their full lists, is the connect-rate in its normal range. After every check-in, you post a short report with screenshots of exactly what you looked at. Not "checked, all good." We want to see the receipts: Here's the screen, here's the number, here's why it's fine or why it isn't. This is non-negotiable and it's the core of how the role works. If posting your work with evidence multiple times a day sounds tedious rather than obvious, this isn't the seat for you. When something's off, the checklist tells you the two or three usual causes. You check those first. If it's one of them, you note it and, where you're able, resolve it. If it's genuinely outside the known pattern, you escalate with "here's what I already ruled out." That last part is the balance the role lives or dies on. We don't want someone who flags "connect-rate looks low" and waits for instructions. We also don't want someone who goes off and "fixes" things nobody asked them to touch. The right person handles the diagnosable and escalates the ambiguous, and knows the difference. Who fits: - You've done sales, dialer, call-center, or ops-monitoring work and can read a dashboard without hand-holding. - You're genuinely reliable on a fixed schedule. This is the trait we're hiring for above all others. - You're someone who takes satisfaction in running a defined lane with precision. This is a bounded, repeatable role and we want it run excellently, not expanded. - You're comfortable being visible: Posting your work, putting your name on what you verified. Logistics: About 15 to 20 hrs/week, part-time, ongoing. $15 to $25/hr depending on experience. Fixed daily windows, you'll track EST We train you on our systems and hand you the checklist. You bring reliability and judgment. TO APPLY ANSWER THIS SCREENING QUESTION Here's a quick scenario. On a normal day, our callers connect with the person they're trying to reach about 25% of the time. Today that number is sitting at 11%, and lead volume looks normal. In a few sentences, walk me through what you'd check to find out why, and which thing you'd look at first. I'm not after the "right" answer, there are several. I'm reading for how you actually think through it. If your answer reads like you've sat in front of a dialer operation before, the next step is a 10-minute screen-share call where we put a couple of our real screens in front of you and you talk me through them live. That call is the real interview. This question just gets us there.
