AI Calling Agent Developer (Vapi, Retell, Twilio, CRM)

We're looking for an experienced AI Voice Agent Developer to build and optimize a conversational calling bot for our business. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a production-ready voice automation system that handles inbound/outbound calls, integrates with our CRM, and delivers a natural, human-sounding voice experience. Responsibilities: Build and configure AI voice agents using Vapi.ai or Retell AI Set up call flows, prompts, and function/tool calling for real-world use cases (appointment booking, lead qualification, support, etc.) Integrate voice agents with Twilio for inbound/outbound calling Connect the voice bot to our CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce/GoHighLevel or similar) for bidirectional data sync Select and fine-tune voice over / TTS providers for natural, human-like speech (e.g., Cartesia, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Rime) Build backend services using Python and FastAPI to handle business logic, auth, and data persistence Develop a React-based dashboard/admin panel for monitoring calls, managing agents, and viewing analytics Implement automation workflows to trigger calls, follow-ups, and CRM updates Test, debug, and optimize latency, turn-taking, and conversation quality Deploy and maintain the system in a production environment Requirements: Proven experience with Vapi.ai, Retell AI, or similar voice agent platforms Strong hands-on experience with Twilio (Programmable Voice, SIP trunking a plus) Solid backend skills in Python / FastAPI (async, REST APIs, webhooks) Frontend experience with React for building dashboards Experience integrating with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) Familiarity with LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude) for conversational logic Understanding of TTS/STT pipelines and how to reduce latency for natural conversation Experience with automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make) is a plus Good communication skills and ability to work independently Nice to have: Experience with outbound calling compliance (TCPA, DNC lists) Background in real estate, healthcare, or sales use cases for voice bots Experience with PostgreSQL / Tortoise ORM / SQLAlchemy
