Job Title Carrier Services Rep — Telecom Order Placement & Tracking (Part-Time, Ongoing) Category / Type - Category: Admin Support → Virtual Assistance / Project Management - Type: Ongoing project - Experience level: Intermediate - Hours: Part-time, ~10–15 hrs/week to start up to 40 Hours - Contract: Hourly Description We're a managed IT and connectivity services company supporting clients across multiple states. We place and manage telecom/connectivity orders with carriers on our clients' behalf, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Carrier Services Representative to own that ordering process. This is an ongoing role — roughly 20 orders per month — for someone who already knows their way around carrier ordering and provisioning. We're not looking for a generalist VA we have to teach the telecom side to; we want someone who's done this before and can hit the ground running. What you'll do: - Place new service orders, moves/adds/changes/disconnects (MACDs), and upgrades with carriers - Track orders from submission through installation/activation and follow up on anything stuck - Keep our order tracker (spreadsheet/ticketing system) accurate and up to date - Communicate status clearly to our internal team — flag delays, missing info, or carrier issues before they become problems - Coordinate install dates and confirm completion Carriers you'll likely work with: RingCentral, Comcast Business, Spectrum/Charter, AT&T, Lumen, Frontier, Cox, and similar. Experience with one or more of their business ordering portals is a big plus. What we're looking for: - Prior hands-on experience placing and tracking telecom/connectivity orders (carrier portals, provisioning, or telecom back-office/ordering roles) - Strong organization and relentless follow-through — orders don't fall through the cracks on your watch - Clear, proactive written communication - Comfortable in spreadsheets and ticketing/order-management tools - Reliable overlap with U.S. business hours Nice to have: - MSP, VAR, or telecom agency background - Familiarity with quoting, circuit IDs, LOAs/CSRs, RingCentral, Talking to Carriers, Troubleshooting or porting How this works: - We'll start with a paid 2–4 week trial so we can both make sure it's a fit - If it goes well, this becomes a steady ongoing engagement with room to grow into a broader back-office role - Account access (where needed) is provisioned through individual, permission-scoped logins — we don't share master credentials
