I am looking for an incredible 2D illustrator to catch a spark of imagination and help me design the characters for a wonderful new stage musical project! We need to bring a whole theatrical cast to life ranging from charismatic, humble young souls to serious, elegant older figures. Whether you love traditional pencil on paper or using digital tools, the final art just needs to have that authentic, cozy, textured hand-drawn look! No flat vector lines, no colors just pure sketching magic that captures the performance and movement of a musical! What is needed: -Whimsical Hand-Drawn Lines: Quirky, expressive lines with fun curves and curls (think of the stylized, magical hair and features you see in classic fantasy storybooks). It should feel like it was sketched directly onto paper by a human hand. -Pure Graphite Texture: Monochromatic. Just digital pencil, charcoal textures, or beautiful cross-hatching over a clean white background. No color palette overhead let’s let the linework do the talking. -A Touch of Magical Contrast: Playing with simple, warm light sources (like a flickering candle or tiny magical sparks) breaking through the pencil shadows to create an enchanting atmosphere. Since there is no coloring involved, I want to give you full freedom to propose how you'd like to tackle this first paid test. Roster has characters ranging from charismatic, humble young guys to serious, elegant older figures.
