Case Study and Portfolio Graphic Designer
Worldwide
Overview We are looking for a creative designer to become the primary case study and portfolio designer for our marketing and web agency. This is more than a traditional graphic design role. The selected designer will be responsible for developing each case study from start to finish—including gathering the information, writing the content, creating the visual assets, and designing both the web and PDF versions. We will provide access to the completed project and answer a short set of questions. From there, the designer should be able to independently turn that information into a polished, professional case study. Each case study will include: A web-based case study built within WordPress A coordinated PDF case study Custom graphics, mockups, and supporting images Professionally written case study content Responsibilities Develop the primary visual template that will be used across our case study portfolio Create a repeatable structure for both the WordPress and PDF versions Interview our team by asking a concise set of questions about each project Gather the information needed without requiring us to write the case study Write and organize the complete case study content Present the project challenge, strategy, services, process, solution, and results Review websites and completed project materials to identify important details Generate or create the images, graphics, mockups, and visual assets needed for each case study Capture and organize website screenshots Place website designs into professional device or browser mockups Design clean and simple PDF case studies Build or format the web version using a WordPress template Maintain consistent branding, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy Make revisions based on internal feedback Manage each case study from information gathering through final delivery Content Development The designer should not expect to receive finished copy. For each project, you will be expected to ask us a few focused questions and then independently develop the content. Questions may cover: The client and their business The original problem or challenge The project goals The services we provided The strategy or approach Important features or deliverables Challenges encountered during the project The final outcome and measurable results You should be able to take brief answers, project links, notes, and screenshots and turn them into a clear and compelling story. Strong writing, interviewing, and content-organization skills are essential for this role. Template Development The first stage of the engagement will include developing the main case study system. This will include: The overall case study structure The visual style and page layout The WordPress case study template The coordinated PDF template Typography and image-placement standards Reusable graphics, mockups, and page sections A consistent process that can be repeated across future projects The final design should feel professional, modern, clean, and easy to review. We do not want overly complicated or heavily decorated layouts. Image and Graphic Creation The designer will be responsible for creating the visual presentation of each project. This may include: Website and mobile device mockups Browser-window mockups Before-and-after comparisons Feature callouts Service icons Process graphics Results graphics Branded section dividers AI-generated supporting images when appropriate Editing and improving client-provided images Selecting the strongest screenshots from each project The designer should be able to determine which visuals are needed rather than waiting for us to provide every image. Qualifications Strong graphic design and layout portfolio Experience designing case studies, portfolios, presentations, reports, or editorial documents Strong copywriting and content-development skills Ability to conduct a short project interview and identify the most important information Experience creating graphics, website mockups, and presentation visuals Experience designing professional PDFs Familiarity with WordPress and basic page-building workflows Strong understanding of typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and storytelling Ability to work independently with limited direction Strong attention to detail Reliable communication and project-management skills Ability to establish and follow a consistent visual system Advanced WordPress development is not required, but you should be comfortable developing the initial page design and implementing case studies within WordPress. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is part graphic designer, part content writer, and part visual storyteller. You should be comfortable receiving a project link and a few answers from our team, then taking responsibility for producing the finished case study without requiring us to manage every detail. We are looking for someone who can become the long-term owner of our portfolio presentation and maintain consistency as new projects are completed. To Apply Please include: Examples of case studies, portfolios, presentations, reports, or PDF documents you designed Examples of long-form layouts that include both writing and visual design Examples of website or device mockups you created Details about your WordPress experience Details about your content-writing or copywriting experience The design and image-generation programs you use A brief explanation of how you would turn a project link and a short interview into a complete case study The questions you would typically ask before developing a case study Please do not submit only logos, advertisements, or social media graphics. We are specifically looking for someone who can combine content development, visual storytelling, web design, and PDF layout.
