Centralized Services Engineer – MSP Automation & Proactive Operations (RMM/PowerShell)

We're looking for an experienced MSP-focused Centralized Services Engineer to help us proactively manage, automate, and optimize our centralized IT operations platform. This role is not about reacting to tickets one at a time, we need someone who thinks in terms of one-to-many solutions: automating repetitive work, standardizing environments across our customer base, and building monitoring and remediation that prevents issues before they become incidents. We are starting this engagement with a paid $1,000 consultation. During the consultation, you'll review our current environment, platforms, and pain points, and deliver a clear assessment and recommended plan of action. Please note: whoever we select for the consultation will also be engaged to carry out the full project that follows, so please only apply if you're able to commit to both phases. What You'll Be Doing • Administering and optimizing our RMM platform (N-able N-central or comparable) • Building automation with PowerShell, scripts, self-healing remediation, scheduled health checks • Designing and tuning monitoring policies to reduce alert fatigue and increase signal quality • Managing patch management policies and endpoint security (EDR) administration • Standardizing onboarding, software deployment, and maintenance procedures across a multi-tenant environment • Performing root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommending long-term fixes • Documenting SOPs and maintaining an internal automation library Platforms We Use: N-able N-central, SentinelOne, Cove Backup, HaloPSA, ScalePad, Hudu, Microsoft 365 (additional platforms as needed) Requirements: • Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), required • Minimum 3 years administering N-able N-central or a comparable enterprise RMM platform • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation development experience • Hands-on patch management and EDR administration experience • Experience managing enterprise monitoring platforms in multi-tenant environments • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation skills • Ability to balance multiple priorities and SLAs across a large customer base Ideal Candidate: You naturally ask: Can this be automated?
