Certified Bookkeeper (CB/CPB + Xero Expert) for Multi-Entity Enterprise

I am looking for a rigorous, detail-oriented, and highly active bookkeeper to manage the financial infrastructure across my entire portfolio of businesses, including real estate investments and consulting operations. You will work alongside my CPA to maintain pristine, audit-ready books that accurately reflect the reality of a fast-moving, multi-entity enterprise. Your Role: You will be the primary operator of my Xero environment for all entities. This is an active, ongoing partnership. I need a partner who proactively monitors financial health across the entire portfolio, identifies discrepancies in real-time, and ensures that complex intercompany and equity transactions are tracked with absolute precision. Mandatory Requirements: Certification: Must hold an active Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) designation. Software Mastery: Must be Xero Certified. Tax & Equity Fluency: Demonstrated understanding of multi-state tax nexus and the ability to interpret and account for equity agreements and capital structures. Active Engagement: You must be a hands-on operator. I need a partner who identifies issues, flags anomalies, and communicates proactively, rather than simply recording data. Systemic Approach: Comfortable working within an integrated digital ecosystem (Notion/Xero). I value automation, clean workflows, and consistent data integrity across all businesses. Key Responsibilities: Proactive daily/weekly maintenance of bank feeds and transaction categorization in Xero across all entities. Complex monthly reconciliations for every business unit. Active management of intercompany clearing accounts and precise recording of equity-related transactions. Ongoing tracking of multi-state tax obligations to ensure full audit readiness for quarterly CPA review. Regular flagging of financial discrepancies, operational inefficiencies, or potential tax triggers.
