Overview We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in tax preparation, accounting operations, and QuickBooks Online (QBO). You will be responsible for overseeing accounting processes, ensuring tax compliance, reviewing bookkeeping activities, and providing strategic financial insights that support business growth and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Tax & Compliance Prepare, review, and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Research tax issues and identify tax-saving opportunities. Respond to IRS and state tax notices, audits, and inquiries. Accounting & Financial Management Review and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Perform account reconciliations and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Analyze financial statements and provide actionable recommendations. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting accuracy. Bookkeeping Oversight Review monthly bookkeeping work for accuracy and completeness. Provide guidance and support to the bookkeeper as needed. Ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions. Financial Operations Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Review payroll transactions and related reporting. Prepare financial reports and management summaries to support business decisions. Requirements Required Qualifications Active CPA license (required). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and bookkeeping review. Preferred Skills Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
