2D Character Illustrator for Kids Educational App We're building a web-based reading comprehension platform for children (ages 8–10). We need a 2D character illustrator to design 2 cartoon characters + accessories + backgrounds. Scope of work: • 2 characters (Alex — child explorer, Zarik — small alien) in a fun, rounded, Duolingo/AdaptedMind style • 8 facial expressions per character (neutral, explaining, curious, excited, happy, encouraging, thinking, surprised) • Each character delivered in vector with SEPARATE LAYERS per body part (body, head, eyes, mouth, arms) — required for Rive animation • 10–15 collectible accessories (hats, diving gear, sea items) for in-app avatar shop • 1 child avatar base (customizable skin/hair color) • 3 backgrounds: deep ocean, coral reef, neutral UI background • Style guide (colors, proportions, fonts) Deliverables: .AI / .PSD files with named layers + PNG exports (transparent background) Style reference: AdaptedMind.com, Duolingo characters — rounded, colorful, child-friendly, NOT realistic.
