Children's Book Editor Needed

Hello to the potential editors reading this job post! My name is Libby and I am excited to work with an editor for the first time. Recently I have written a children's book that I am both surprised by and very proud of. The story follows a group of determined kindergarten students who stage a coup as an effort to reign in their overly zealous and ambitious young teacher who only seems to think of their academics. In the process they consider that she may just be tired and like them, benefit from a good snack and a nap. What transforms is a classroom that uses voice, choice, and student agency to create a more balanced, democratic learning environment. Every student has a chance to shine and the teacher doesn't have to carry it all by herself. I take this seriously as a potential work of children's literature and intend to send it to literary agents as I query for a good publishing match that can then partner me with an excellent illustrator. Therefore I am looking for someone sharp, familiar with the world of children's books, who can help me to reduce where I can, tighten and polish, discuss pages and layout, and help to make this shine and stand out as a story that will stay with both parents and their children for a long time.
