Children's Dry Erase Book

I am looking for a talented children’s illustrator to help create a social-emotional learning book designed for young children. I am starting with one book, with the intention of developing a larger series if the first project is successful. I am therefore looking for an illustrator who may be interested in an ongoing working relationship. The first book is a short, approximately 5-page narrative set at school. It is designed to help children understand and infer emotions through everyday social situations. A key feature of the book is that the characters’ faces will be left blank, allowing children to draw the facial expressions themselves. Because of this, the illustrator must be particularly good at showing emotions through body language, posture, gestures, movement and interactions between characters, without relying on facial expressions. I will provide: The completed story/script Page-by-page illustration instructions Suggested body language and emotional cues for each character Guidance on the overall book layout I am looking for someone who can: Create colourful, engaging illustrations suitable for young children Maintain consistent characters across all pages Illustrate school/playground environments Show clear but natural body-language cues Keep character faces blank as directed Design illustrations that can extend across a two-page spread Prepare high-resolution, print-ready files Make reasonable revisions based on feedback Create original artwork suitable for commercial use This first project will be used to establish the visual style and format for the series. If it is a good fit, I would like to increase the number of books and continue working with the same illustrator on future titles.
