Children's book editor

We are developing a new type of children's book series that allows children to explore grief, loss, separation, and other emotions/experiences through the metaphor of being a wave in the ocean. In the character universe each character is a wave and there a different characterologies for different wave types (e.g. swells are different than tidal waves or whirpools). In this first book, the same water, a little wave is separated from his parents from a great wave and is invited by his friend to explore that he's not actually separated from them (they are made of the same water). The children's book is 32 pages and we have an outline of the text and graphics, but are looking for an experienced editor to help tighten the story (e.g. could it be 22 pages?) and help guide the illustrator for the visuals. We have already written 6 other books in the series, so are looking for someone to help with this project and then be the writer and/or editor for more books in the series. The metaphor of "your body is a wave in the ocean" is common in buddhist thought, but to the best of our knowledge no one has given those waves and wave types names/characters to build a universe that is differentiated but not separate. The work is published CCO so that anyone can use the characters or concepts to teach this essential lesson that we are different but not separate ❤️
