China-Based Sourcing Agent for Sock Manufacturers, Supplier Verification and Samples

We are looking for an independent China-based sourcing agent to identify suitable manufacturers of wide-calf compression socks. Preference will be given to agents who regularly work with hosiery manufacturers in Zhuji/Datang, Zhejiang, or who have an established network in another Chinese hosiery manufacturing cluster. Our priority is to find existing finished-stock products that can be evaluated and ordered as samples. The agent may use domestic sourcing platforms, industry relationships, factory databases and other relevant sources. Product requirements: - Knee-high, closed-toe graduated compression socks - Designed for wide calves - Target wearer calf circumference coverage: approximately 42–70 cm across multiple sizes - Non-medical consumer textile product - Reliable and repeatable sizing is critical - Existing finished-stock products are preferred - Custom packaging may be considered later Initial fixed-price scope: 1. Identify approximately five relevant manufacturers or direct suppliers in China. 2. Communicate with the most promising candidates in Chinese. 3. Confirm whether they offer suitable finished-stock products. 4. Collect the following information: - manufacturer identity and business profile - available product catalogue - actual size chart based on recommended wearer measurements - available colours and sizes - declared compression level - fibre composition - pricing and MOQ - sample cost and dispatch time - available test reports or certificates 5. Present the three strongest candidates in a clear comparison table, including a recommendation and identified risks. The initial USD 100 project covers supplier research, communication and comparison only. Sample purchases, shipping, warehouse handling, factory visits and physical quality inspections are not included. These services may become separate milestones. Transparency is required. The final report must clearly identify every proposed supplier and distinguish the supplier’s quotation from the agent’s fee. Undisclosed supplier substitutions or hidden margins are not acceptable. A detailed product brief and RFQ will be shared with the selected freelancer through Upwork. Successful completion may lead to further milestones covering sample coordination, supplier follow-up and production support.
