China-Focused Sourcing & Packaging Operations Specialist

bout Us We are a premium health and wellness company based in New Zealand and the United States, developing science-backed physical products. We are looking for a highly resourceful China-focused Sourcing & Operations Specialist to support the founder on sourcing and packaging projects. Your role is to solve operational sourcing problems, identify suitable supplier options, collect information, compare alternatives, and present clear recommendations that help move projects forward. This is not an administrative assistant role. Responsibilities Examples include: • China-focused supplier and vendor research • Packaging and manufacturing research • Researching supplier options across major Chinese sourcing platforms • Collecting quotes, specifications, MOQs, pricing, sample terms, and lead times • Comparing supplier options and identifying the strongest candidates • Researching packaging components, materials, samples, and production options • Supporting operational sourcing projects from research through execution • Building concise recommendation reports You will be given real business problems and expected to independently develop options and recommendations. Preferred Experience • China-focused sourcing or procurement • Product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience • Packaging, manufacturing, or physical product projects • Experience researching Chinese suppliers and comparing supplier options • Ability to prepare clear supplier messages and summarize supplier information in English • Supplier and vendor management Basic understanding of manufacturing, packaging, product sourcing, or product development is strongly preferred. What Success Looks Like You are not expected to make final business decisions. Your role is to find options, gather information, solve problems, and present recommendations. A successful outcome is a clear recommendation that allows the founder to make a fast decision. Engagement This role is project-based to start and begins with a paid test project. The right candidate may have the opportunity for ongoing project-based work.
