China Local Sourcing, Factory Verification & Supplier Control Representative We are a French brand looking for a reliable local partner or freelancer based in China to support us with sourcing, factory verification, supplier follow-up and quality control. We are not looking for an opaque middleman or a trading company that keeps supplier contacts hidden. We are looking for a transparent, trustworthy and discreet local representative who can help us better understand, secure and develop our supplier network while allowing us to remain in direct contact with factories and suppliers. More details about our brand, business, products and current suppliers will be shared during the discussion, once we have established that the profile is serious and suitable. Discretion and confidentiality are extremely important for us. Speaking French would be a major advantage, as we are a French company and it would make long-term communication easier. However, it is not mandatory if the candidate is fluent in English and Chinese and has strong relevant experience. ## Main objectives We need support to: * identify reliable factories for future product collections; * distinguish real factories from traders, agents or unnecessary intermediaries; * verify whether our current suppliers are the best possible contacts; * help us understand the real production chain behind certain products; * check factory seriousness, production capacity and communication quality; * support production follow-up when needed; * assist with quality control before shipment; * help with packaging, cartons, labeling and shipping confidentiality; * support us in solving supplier or production issues when they arise. Our goal is to improve supplier transparency, product quality, lead times, pricing and confidentiality. ## Important transparency requirement This is a key condition: We must remain in direct contact with factories and suppliers. The selected person must be willing to share factory names, company details, direct contacts, locations and relevant information. We are not looking for someone who hides the supplier relationship or creates dependency. The role is to support us, verify, inspect, negotiate, translate, compare and advise — not to become an opaque layer between us and the factories. ## Confidentiality and discretion Complete discretion is required. The selected partner must agree not to share our brand information, product designs, supplier information, volumes, prices, packaging details or business strategy with any third party. We may require a confidentiality agreement / NDA before sharing sensitive information. We also require full transparency regarding any relationship with factories, suppliers or logistics partners. No hidden commissions, referral fees or undeclared benefits from suppliers will be accepted. ## Product categories Our brand works with several product categories, including but not limited to: * jewelry: signet rings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, etc.; * clothing: t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, shirts, underwear, caps, etc.; * combat sports products: boxing gloves, MMA gloves, sports bags, shorts, hand wraps, mouthguards, etc.; * accessories and other products, such as towels, packaging and related items. You do not need to be an expert in every category, but you must be honest about your experience and able to identify reliable factories or specialists when needed. ## Possible missions Depending on the situation, missions may include: * sourcing new factories for a specific product category; * creating a supplier comparison report; * checking if a supplier is a real factory or a trading company; * visiting a factory or arranging a local verification; * checking samples or production quality; * following up with suppliers during production; * verifying packaging, cartons, labels and shipping preparation; * checking lead times and production status; * helping us improve confidentiality in logistics and shipping; * assisting with communication in Chinese when needed. ## Ideal profile We are looking for someone who is: * based in China or Hong Kong, ideally close to major manufacturing areas; * fluent in Chinese and English; * French-speaking would be a major plus, but is not mandatory; * experienced in sourcing, factory verification, supplier management or quality control; * able to communicate clearly and professionally; * reliable, structured and transparent; * comfortable providing written reports with photos, videos, documents and clear conclusions; * able to work on occasional missions, not necessarily full-time; * open to long-term cooperation; * willing to work with a compensation model based on missions, hourly work or day rate rather than commissions on order volume. ## Compensation model We prefer a transparent compensation model such as: * fixed price per sourcing mission; * hourly rate; * day rate for factory visits or inspections; * monthly retainer only if the collaboration becomes regular. Ideally, compensation should not be directly tied to our order volume, in order to avoid conflicts of interest. ## To apply Please include in your application: 1.
