We are planning a sourcing trip to Guangzhou/Shenzhen and are looking for an experienced China Sourcing & Negotiation Specialist to accompany us on-site. This is not a standard translator role. We are looking for someone who understands Chinese manufacturing, supplier relationships, negotiation tactics, and Western business expectations, and who can help us maximize the value of our trip. ⸻ Your Role You will accompany our team during our visit in China for approximately 3–4 full days and act as our local sourcing expert. Your responsibilities will include: * Translating conversations between English and Mandarin during meetings and factory visits. * Assisting with price negotiations and helping us secure the best possible terms. * Advising us on Chinese business culture and negotiation strategies. * Coordinating and organizing factory visits. * Helping evaluate suppliers and identify reliable manufacturing partners. * Reviewing quotations and identifying opportunities for cost savings. * Assisting with discussions around: * MOQ negotiations, * lead times, * quality expectations, * payment terms, * exclusivity opportunities. * Introducing us to relevant markets, suppliers, or industry contacts when appropriate. * Explaining what opportunities are available locally and helping us make the most of our time in China. * Providing recommendations on where to go, who to meet, and how to navigate the sourcing ecosystem efficiently. ⸻ Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: * Is based in Guangzhou or Shenzhen. * Speaks fluent Mandarin and English. * Has previous experience working with Western brands or international buyers. * Has experience in: * supplier vetting, * factory audits, * sourcing, * procurement, * price negotiations. * Is confident negotiating directly with factory owners and sales representatives. * Is proactive, well-organized, and solution-oriented. * Can provide references from previous clients. Experience within the apparel, textiles, wellness, or consumer products industries is a strong plus. ⸻ Compensation Daily Rate Compensation is fully negotiable based on experience and expertise. Please include your expected daily rate when applying. Performance Bonus In addition to the daily rate, we are willing to offer significant performance-based bonuses if your negotiations generate measurable savings. For example: * Successfully negotiating better unit costs, * Improving payment terms, * Securing better MOQs, * Obtaining advantageous supplier agreements. We strongly believe in rewarding people who create real value. ⸻ Trip Details * Location: Guangzhou / Shenzhen, China * Duration: Approximately 3–4 days * Schedule: Full-day availability required during the trip * Potential for Long-Term Collaboration: Yes If the collaboration goes well, we may continue working together on future sourcing projects, supplier management, factory visits, and ongoing procurement support. ⸻ How to Apply Please include: 1. A short introduction about yourself. 2. Your location (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, or nearby). 3. Your experience with sourcing and factory negotiations. 4. Examples of industries you have worked with. 5. Whether you have accompanied foreign buyers on factory visits before. 6. Your expected daily rate. 7. Any references or testimonials from previous clients. We are looking for someone who can become our trusted partner on the ground in China, helping us build stronger supplier relationships and negotiate the best possible outcomes. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
