China Supplier Liaison & Mandarin Negotiation Coordinator

We are hiring a China Supplier Liaison & Mandarin Negotiation Coordinator for a short-term but intensive mission supporting a UK-led data-centre and hardware supply-chain programme. We are travelling to China to meet server chassis, silicon, embedded hardware and component suppliers, as well as other potential long-term counterparties relevant to our China supply-chain strategy. We need a bilingual consultant who can help us identify the right counterparties, make contact, secure meetings, localise our communication, support negotiations, and manage follow-up before, during and after the trip. This is not a generic translator role. We need someone who is comfortable operating in technical-commercial meetings involving hardware, firmware, manufacturing, supply agreements, pricing discussions and long-term supplier relationships. Scope of work 1. Identify and approach relevant Chinese suppliers / counterparties 2. Help secure meetings with the right commercial and technical decision-makers 3. Translate / localise our meeting briefs, summaries, emails and follow-up notes 4. Support meeting preparation and coordination before the China trip 5. Join meetings in China and support Mandarin ↔ English communication 6. Help communicate our requirements clearly and professionally to counterparties 7. Keep notes, action lists and post-meeting follow-up moving 8. Support relationship management with suppliers after the trip 9. Potentially continue supporting our China WFOE / country manager on supplier coordination Ideal profile 1. Native or near-native Mandarin and strong English 2. Experience dealing with Chinese OEM / electronics / embedded hardware / manufacturing suppliers 3. Comfortable in commercial and technical discussions 4. Strong organisation, responsiveness and follow-through 5. Based in China, ideally Shenzhen / Guangzhou, or able to travel there Please include examples of supplier-facing, negotiation-support, sourcing or technical-commercial liaison work you have done. The role may require in-person support during meetings in Shenzhen / Guangzhou, so candidates who can travel locally and work flexibly around live meeting schedules are preferred.
