China/Vietnam Sourcing Agent — Multi-Material Hardware Product (Metal + Polymer + Textile)

We are seeking an experienced sourcing agent to help identify and manage manufacturing partners in China and/or Vietnam for a multi-material consumer hardware product. The product combines precision metal components, plastic/polymer moulding, and technical textile/garment construction into a single finished item, plus retail packaging. This is a patent-pending product — we are still inside our IP priority window, so suppliers must be comfortable working under NDA with staged technical disclosure. Responsibilities: Identify and qualify manufacturers or manufacturing groups capable of handling metal, polymer, and textile components — either in-house or via a tightly managed subcontractor network under one quality umbrella Vet suppliers for NDA compliance and IP handling before any technical detail is shared Conduct or coordinate factory audits Manage supplier communication, quoting, and sample coordination Negotiate pricing and terms Flag risks early — trading companies posing as manufacturers, unrealistic MOQs, IP exposure, quality concerns Ideal candidate: Demonstrated experience coordinating sourcing across more than one material/manufacturing discipline for a single product (not just single-category sourcing) Comfortable working with early-stage, IP-sensitive clients Strong communication in Mandarin and English Based in or with established on-the-ground relationships in China and/or Vietnam
