Chinese-English Translation Assistant and E-commerce Assistant

Dear applicant, We are looking for a highly organized, logically-minded, and bilingual (Chinese/English) Communications & Operations Assistant to bridge the gap between our Asia-based Manager and our international remote team. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately translate and communicate task instructions from the Manager to other team members. While all team members are from non-English speaking countries, our official company communication is conducted entirely in English. You will ensure that no instructions are "lost in translation" and that projects move forward smoothly. Scope of Work & Core Topics: - Communication Context: All tasks relate to e-commerce operations, including E-commerce Procurement/Sourcing, Influencer Marketing, Logical AI Applications (using AI tools logically for tasks), and Web Design. - No Complex Jargon: Although the topics cover various areas, the communication involves practical, daily e-commerce operations without overly technical or industry-specific jargon. - Communication Mode: Majority of the work is written communication (text-based via Slack, project management tools, etc.). Occasional video/audio meetings are required, and in rare instances, live interpretation during a call may be needed. Working Hours & Commitment (Highly Flexible): - Project Type: Long-term, ongoing contract. - Hours & Transition: * Initially: You will only need to work a few times a week, for about 1 to 2 hours per session. * Once On Track: As you become familiar with the workflow and operations run smoothly, the schedule may transition into a brief daily check-in of about 10 to 15 minutes per day. * We offer high flexibility regarding hours, and this arrangement can be further discussed and adjusted based on mutual fit. - Peak Team Alignment: The ideal time to be online is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM London Time (GMT+1 / BST), as this is the window where all global team members are simultaneously online. - Flexibility: If you cannot be online during the peak 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM window, you can complete the tasks in fragmented time blocks throughout your day. However, all communications and responses assigned for that day must be fully completed and wrapped up within the same day. Requirements & Qualifications: 1. Language Skills: Native Mandarin speaker with fluent, professional-level English (both written and spoken). 2. High Logical Reasoning & Clarity: You must possess strong logical thinking and analytical skills. You need to quickly understand workflows, filtering processes, and operational steps, and then articulate them clearly to others to avoid any miscommunication or errors. 3. Flexibility & Reliability: Ability to manage your own schedule while ensuring strict same-day task completion. 4. Growth Potential: If your performance is excellent and you integrate well with the team, this role has a strong potential to transition into an expanded, longer-term role or a full-time position.
