Chrome Extension Developer for Automotive Workflow

We’re looking for an experienced Chrome Extension developer to build an internal productivity tool for our automotive sourcing team. This is not a public Chrome extension. It will be used internally by our employees to speed up the process of sourcing and importing vehicles. Project Overview Our employees browse Japanese dealer and auction websites to find vehicles. For each vehicle, they need to locate the same vehicle in another database, copy the link, and continue the workflow. Today this is a manual process that takes time and creates unnecessary friction. We want to automate as much of this process as possible. Phase 1 The extension should: * Work on multiple automotive websites * Extract vehicle information such as VIN / chassis number and other identifying details. * Automatically search. * Open the correct listing (or present possible matches if multiple exist). * Allow one-click copying of the URL. * Minimize manual searching. Future Phases The project may later expand to include: * Internal admin panel integration. * AI-assisted vehicle processing. * Workflow automation. * WordPress integration. * Additional dealer websites. * Quality-of-life improvements for employees. We’re looking for someone interested in a long-term collaboration. Requirements * Strong experience developing Chrome Extensions. * Excellent JavaScript / TypeScript. * Experience with browser automation. * Experience scraping websites and working with the DOM. * Experience building internal productivity tools. * Clean, maintainable code. * Good communication. Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer or browser automation is a plus. Nice to Have * Experience with automotive websites. * Experience integrating APIs. * Experience with AI-powered workflows. * Experience building tools for operations teams.
