Summary

**Important Update:** We are reposting this opportunity due to an error in our previous brief regarding the required platform (our Senior Disaster Consultant notified us of the error. We use Webflow and assumed he did the same). We sincerely apologize for the confusion and for any time lost by those who applied to the previous post. If you are a Squarespace expert and remain interested in this project, we invite you to review the updated requirements below and re-apply. Project Brief: Disaster Patrick Digital Ecosystem Overview We are seeking a world-class Squarespace developer and creative lead to architect a high-performance, cinematic digital ecosystem for the personal brand of our Senior Emergency Manager, "Disaster Patrick." This project is a full-scale rebrand and rebuild of an existing website. We are looking for a partner who brings genuine creative insight to the table, not just a pair of hands to execute instructions. You are being hired for your expertise, and we expect you to challenge our ideas to help make this site truly extraordinary. Design Aesthetic & Vision The visual language must be larger than life, high-energy, and professional. Please review the attached Gemini_Generated_Image_2lgati2lgati2lga.png to understand the desired "Netflix-style" layout, typography, and mood. We are building a brand site that feels like a blockbuster event. • Visual Direction: You will be responsible for creating the site's AI-generated imagery. You must have a strong designer’s eye for selecting and creating visuals that make the brand feel exciting and "wow" the audience. • Consistency: While there is a Blog page, it is not considered one of the 8 core pages, as it only requires stylistic consistency in its header and background. The Architecture We have already developed a complete wireframe that defines how these pages flow and interact. The ecosystem consists of 8 core pages: 1. Homepage: The Core Engine (Cinematic hero, 5-Pocket Method overview). 2. Stunt Arena: The challenge hub. 3. Hurricane Challenge Mission Page: Dedicated, cinematic deep-dive into the 200 MPH test. 4. The Stage: Keynotes and speaking. 5. Broadcast Hub: Media/Press kit. 6. The Studio: Dismantling Disaster podcast hub. 7. Headquarters: About, mission, and authority credentials. 8. Briefing Room: Contact/Lead intake. Technical Requirements • Platform: Squarespace (mandatory). You must be an expert in Squarespace. • Animation: Mastery of custom JavaScript and libraries like GSAP is required to achieve fluid, scroll-triggered animations that elevate the experience within the Squarespace environment. Note: We are not looking for a standard Squarespace designer. We are looking for a developer who uses Squarespace as a backend CMS while building the custom, cinematic frontend experience via custom code and GSAP. If your portfolio only shows standard, template-based Squarespace sites, this is not the right fit. • Workflow: You must be comfortable working in Figma (or equivalent) for visual prototyping and design review cycles before coding begins. • E-Commerce: This ecosystem must include a scalable architecture for a Merch Store. This will be a dedicated space for limited-edition drops, such as performance gear (which we have already designed and is currently in production). The architecture must be built to seamlessly integrate a storefront (either native or third-party) without disrupting the cinematic flow or the "high-stakes" narrative of the main site. The Partnership & Expectations • Collaboration: We have commissioned 19 websites previously and have a clear process for making these projects successful. We need a partner who is highly collaborative, open to feedback, and agile during the iteration process. • Revision Policy: To ensure alignment, we generally require unlimited revisions. However, if you cannot offer this, you must storyboard the entire website upon hire. In this scenario, changes to the storyboard during the planning phase will not count against your revision limit. • Experience: You must have a proven track record of working with high-end personal brands. Application Process To be considered, please provide: 1. Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating high-end, cinematic, or performance-driven web design that makes an immediate, "wow" impact. 2. Style Sample (Preferred): Candidates who provide a sample page or mockup designed in the style of the attached image will be given strong preference. 3. Pricing: Please provide a realistic price range for a project of this scale and complexity. 4. Policy: Note that all communication regarding this project must remain on-platform. Do not reach out to Patrick, or our CEO or other corporate officers via LinkedIn, email, or other external channels. Note: We will be reviewing applications starting Thursday, June 25th (Pacific Time), and are looking to hire within a week at the latest. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them; if a question requires further clarification, I will forward it to Patrick for his review. Thank you! — Michelle
