Cinematic Travel Video for German Tours

Summary

Overview Our goal is to create a consistent and scalable video content system based on real travel footage. Each video should not only showcase destinations, but clearly communicate how our tours feel and how they are organized. It is important that the videos follow a clear structure and are easy to understand for the viewer. They should guide the audience through the experience – from first impression to group dynamics, activities and overall feeling. The focus is on authenticity and clarity rather than cinematic perfection. We want the viewer to feel “this could be me” and understand what to expect from our tours. Please keep edits clean, calm and structured so that the content works across different use cases (website, YouTube, ads). The final result should combine emotional storytelling with clear orientation to support decision-making and ultimately drive bookings. Scope of work We are looking for a video editor to create authentic and high-quality travel videos from real footage of our small group tours. You will receive 25–40 short clips (3–6 seconds each) showing travelers, guides, experiences, landscapes, and accommodations. Your task is to create: 1 main video (2–3 minutes, horizontal, calm and documentary style) 3–5 short clips (8–25 seconds, vertical for social media) The videos should feel natural, emotionally engaging, and trustworthy – not overly commercial or fast-paced. Focus on storytelling and structure: strong opening, group experience, guide interaction, authentic moments, and a relaxed closing. Please include subtle background music (low volume, suitable for adding voice-over later). Keep text overlays minimal (3–4 max) and aligned with our branding. Goal: Create content that builds trust and inspires customers to book. Consistency across videos is very important for us – especially in pacing, tone and overall look & feel. Please focus on natural storytelling rather than heavy editing. The footage is authentic and should feel real, not staged. Use longer shots where possible (3–5 seconds) and avoid fast cutting or excessive transitions. It is important that each scene feels complete and understandable (not just visually nice clips, but moments with context and human interaction). The final video should feel calm, high-quality and easy to follow. We will add voice-over and final adjustments internally, so please keep the edit clean, structured and flexible for further optimization. Company details We are a German travel company (www.skr.de) based in Cologne. We specialize in small group tours (max. 12 guests on long-haul trips and max. 16 within Europe). Our target audience is 55+ with a high household income. Around 65% of our customers are female. Most of our guests are couples without children (or with grown-up children) as well as solo travelers. Below is an overview of our key USPs: Small groups – better travel: Unique and authentic experiences thanks to small group sizes (max. 12 guests on long-haul trips & max. 16 in Europe) Best price – best quality: Over 95,000 real customer reviews – compare for yourself Wide German-speaking offering: Travel worldwide with a large selection and flexible dates Guaranteed satisfaction: We are committed to ensuring our guests are fully satisfied Carefully selected guides & hotels: Personally chosen and thoroughly vetted Sustainable travel: Socially and environmentally responsible since 1978, including 100% CO₂ compensation Easy booking: Ideal Candidate We are looking for a video editor with a strong sense of storytelling and a calm, documentary-style editing approach. Experience with travel or documentary content is preferred. The editor should be able to create a natural flow, work with real footage, and focus on authenticity rather than heavy effects or fast-paced edits. Basic audio skills are important (subtle background music, prepared for later voice-over). Clean, minimal text overlays and a good understanding of structure and pacing are essential. We are not looking for flashy social media editing, but for someone who can create high-quality, trustworthy and easy-to-follow videos.
