Cinematic Video Editor + AI Artist for Emotional Personal Film

I’m looking for a highly creative video editor / filmmaker to turn around 13.6 GB of personal footage and photos into a cinematic short film about my relationship with my partner. This is NOT meant to be a normal travel montage. I want someone who can take the material, choose the strongest moments, cut away what is unnecessary, change the order when it improves the story, and create something emotional, fun and cinematic. THE STORY Our relationship started through Instagram. For the opening, one idea is to show two animated / illustrated versions of us holding our phones and messaging each other through Instagram. The phones and messages could look more realistic while the scene around us is animated or AI-generated. Think of it more like the opening of a movie than a normal slideshow. From there, we have: * Photos from our first date * Photos from our second date * Budapest * Italy * Greece * Spain * Other moments from our relationship The film does NOT need to follow everything chronologically. I want you to use the best footage and create a strong story with good pacing, music, sound design, creative transitions, animation, motion graphics and AI where it genuinely improves the film. THE ENDING The ending is very important. We are going to show this film to our parents, family and close friends. Throughout the film, they should think they are simply watching a creative movie about our relationship and travels. Only at the very end should they discover that we are expecting a baby. I don’t want to define exactly how the reveal should happen. I would rather give you creative freedom and develop the final idea together during the project. CREATIVE FREEDOM I’m looking for someone who brings ideas, not only someone who follows instructions. If you look at my footage and think there is a better way to structure the story, I want to hear it. The real footage should remain the heart of the film, but AI, animation and motion graphics are very welcome. SHORT SAMPLE OR PREVIOUS WORK For the people I’m seriously considering, I may ask for a very simple 15–20 second creative concept using a small amount of the material. It does not need to be polished or take much time. I simply want to understand your creative style. I will NOT ask everyone to do this. If you prefer not to make a short sample, please send me previous projects that best show your creativity, cinematic storytelling, emotional editing, animation, motion graphics or AI work. TIMELINE I would like to start as soon as possible. If you are available from today and can focus heavily on this project over the next week, that is a big advantage. Ideally, we would love to have a strong version ready within around 7 days if realistically possible.
