Civil Engineer (Part-Time)

We are a Wollongong-based vertically integrated infrastructure services group operating across construction, remedial works, civil services, property development, and multiple trade divisions, We are building out our engineering capability and are looking for skilled, detail-oriented engineers to support our growing pipeline of projects. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Civil Engineer to prepare and draw plans in accordance with the scopes provided by our Australian Engineer. This is a part-time, remote support role where you will take defined scopes and produce accurate, compliant civil plans ready for review. Typical work includes civil plans for building and development projects, stormwater and drainage design, site works, and supporting documentation. You will work closely with our Australian Engineer, who will provide the scope, direction, and sign off. Your focus will be on producing precise, standards-compliant drawings and documentation efficiently and to deadline. Key Responsibilities • Draw and prepare civil plans and drawings as per the scopes provided by our Australian Engineer • Produce site plans, earthworks, drainage, stormwater, and civil detailing as required • Ensure all plans comply with Australian civil regulations and Australian Standards (NSW, Australia) • Interpret and work from engineering scopes, sketches, and specifications provided • Prepare accurate, clear, and well-presented documentation ready for engineer review and sign-off • Make revisions and adjustments to drawings based on feedback from the Australian Engineer • Maintain organised records and version control of all drawings and documents • Meet agreed deadlines and deliver consistent, high-quality output Technical Knowledge Required • Australian Standards relevant to civil engineering (e.g. AS 3500 plumbing and drainage, AS/NZS 3725, stormwater and drainage standards) • National Construction Code (NCC) / Building Code of Australia (BCA) as it relates to civil and drainage work • NSW civil, stormwater, and development requirements and documentation standards • Civil drafting conventions and drawing standards used in Australia Requirements • Qualified and/or experienced Civil Engineer • Strong, demonstrated understanding of Australian civil regulations and Australian Standards (NSW, Australia) • Proficient in preparing and drawing civil plans using industry-standard drafting/design software • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to deadlines • Able to accurately interpret and follow scopes provided by an Australian Engineer Desirable (Nice to Have) • Experience working with Australian construction, civil, or development projects • Familiarity with stormwater design and hydraulic elements • Experience collaborating remotely with an engineering or construction team How to Apply Please share the following so we can assess your suitability: • A brief overview of your engineering experience and qualifications • Examples or a portfolio of civil plans/drawings you have produced • Your familiarity with Australian Standards and NSW regulations • The software you use for drafting and design • Your availability for part-time hours
