Job Title: Automations Specialist — Affiliate Marketing & AI Workflows Company: Value Up Marketing Location: Fully Remote (Eastern Time Zone overlap required) Hours: Hourly contractor to start, with an opportunity to transition into a full-time role About Us: We are an organization specializing in affiliate marketing. As our operations scale, the volume of automations, Claude workflows, and GHL buildouts is quickly outpacing our internal capacity. We are looking for an Automations Specialist to help us build, connect, and maintain the systems that keep our team moving fast. Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Automations Specialist to support our Operations team. The primary responsibilities include building automations in Zapier, completing GoHighLevel (GHL) subaccount and hubsite buildouts from existing templates, and setting up Claude-powered workflows that streamline our internal processes. You will work directly with the Head of Ops and CEO to bring automation ideas to life — for example, connecting Stripe through Zapier into Slack to fire a Claude automation that kicks off our dispute resolution process, or standing up a new GHL subaccount and hubsite from a proven template. This is a no-code role. You will not be writing Python, JavaScript, or scripts. Our stack is Slack, Trello, Zapier, Claude, and GHL — clean, simple, and built on connectors. Build, test, and maintain Zapier automations that connect our core tools (Stripe, Slack, Trello, Claude, GHL). Wire Claude into our workflows using the right tool for the job — Claude Skills, Automations, MCP connectors, API calls from Zapier, and Claude Code routines. Complete GHL subaccount buildouts and hubsite completions from existing templates. Document each automation clearly so the Ops team can troubleshoot, hand off, and scale them. Collaborate with the Head of Ops and CEO to translate new automation ideas into working systems. Monitor existing automations and quickly resolve any breaks, errors, or misfires. Own automation tasks end-to-end on our Trello Ops board, keeping work moving without bottlenecks. Requirements: Deep, hands-on experience working with Claude in operational settings — including using Claude Skills, configuring Claude Automations, setting up MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors, making Claude API calls from no-code platforms like Zapier, and running Claude Code routines. Comfortable wiring Claude to other tools through native connectors and MCP servers (e.g., Slack, Google Drive, GHL) — you understand what each is for, when to reach for it, and how to pass data cleanly between them. Able to choose the right Claude pattern for the job — for example, knowing when a Skill is the right approach vs. an Automation vs. an MCP connector vs. a direct API call inside a Zap. Proven experience building automations in Zapier (multi-step Zaps, filters, formatters, paths) — especially Zaps that include a Claude step. Experience working in GoHighLevel (GHL), including subaccount setup and template-based buildouts. Comfortable working day-to-day in Slack and Trello. Fluent in conversational and written English. Available for video calls as needed. Able to overlap with Eastern Time Zone working hours on a consistent schedule. Reliable, organized, and consistent in meeting deadlines. Preferred Skills (not mandatory): Familiarity with affiliate marketing operations and the tools used in the space. Experience integrating Stripe, Slack, and other SaaS tools into automated workflows. Comfort with other no-code platforms (Make.com, n8n, etc.). Interest in growing into a full-time Operations role over time. Benefits: Hourly contract to start with a clear path to full-time.
