# Claude Code, MCP, CLI & Secure API Setup Trainer Needed We are looking for an experienced technical trainer to provide hands-on training on **Claude Code, MCP servers, command-line tools, project configuration, and secure API key management**. This is not a general AI introduction. We need practical, screen-sharing-based training that helps our team correctly configure and use Claude Code across multiple development projects. ## Training Topics The trainer should cover: ### Claude Code Setup * Installing and configuring Claude Code * Setting up Claude Code on macOS and Windows * Understanding global settings versus project-specific settings * Configuring Claude Code for one project or multiple projects * Creating and managing project instructions * Setting up permissions and tool access * Organizing files, repositories, and project environments * Using Claude Code with private GitHub repositories * Managing context effectively across larger projects ### MCP Configuration * Explaining MCP architecture in practical terms * Installing and configuring MCP servers * Connecting Claude Code to MCP tools * Setting up MCP globally versus per project * Managing multiple MCP servers * Testing and troubleshooting MCP connections * Reviewing MCP permissions and security risks * Properly removing or disabling unused MCP servers ### CLI and Development Environment * Terminal and CLI fundamentals required for Claude Code * Node.js, npm, npx, Python, Git, GitHub CLI, and related dependencies * Environment variables and configuration files * Resolving path, permission, authentication, and dependency errors * Understanding local, staging, and production environments * Troubleshooting common Claude Code and CLI setup issues ### API Keys, Tokens, and Security * Properly storing API keys and access tokens * Using `.env` files correctly * Preventing secrets from being committed to GitHub * Configuring `.gitignore` * Using environment variables and secret-management tools * Understanding project-level versus system-level credentials * Managing GitHub personal access tokens * Applying minimum required permissions * Rotating, revoking, and replacing compromised credentials * Auditing repositories and configuration files for exposed secrets * Avoiding the accidental sharing of API keys with AI tools, logs, or team members ### Project-Based Training We want the training to use one or more real projects so our team can learn by completing the actual setup. The trainer should demonstrate: * How to configure Claude Code for a new project * How to add Claude Code to an existing project * How to maintain separate instructions and credentials for different projects * How to create reusable global configurations without causing project conflicts * How to onboard additional team members securely * How to document the setup so it can be repeated later ## Expected Deliverables * Live remote training sessions with screen sharing * Complete Claude Code and MCP setup for selected projects * Secure API key and token configuration * Troubleshooting of current installation or authentication issues * Written setup documentation or standard operating procedure * A security checklist for future projects * Recordings of the sessions, where permitted * Final question-and-answer session with our team ## Required Experience Applicants should have proven experience with: * Claude Code * Model Context Protocol, or MCP * Command-line development environments * Git and GitHub * API integrations * Environment variables and secret management * Node.js, npm, npx, and related development tools * Secure authentication and access-control practices * Training non-expert or intermediate technical users Experience with Payload CMS, React, Next.js, Supabase, Figma MCP, GitHub MCP, or other development MCP servers is a plus. ## Trainer Requirements The ideal trainer: * Explains technical concepts clearly without skipping important steps * Can identify incorrect or insecure configurations * Uses current best practices rather than temporary workarounds * Is comfortable working through real setup problems live * Provides documentation that our team can follow after training * Can recommend when configurations should be global, project-specific, or user-specific ## How to Apply Please include: 1. Your experience using Claude Code in real development projects. 2. The MCP servers you have personally configured. 3. Your experience securing API keys, tokens, and environment variables. 4. An example of a Claude Code or MCP problem you have solved. 5. Your proposed training structure. 6. Your hourly rate or fixed-price proposal. 7. Your availability for live remote sessions. 8. Whether you can provide session recordings and written documentation. Please begin your proposal with the words **“Claude Code Training”** so we know you reviewed the full job description.
