AI Automation Engineer (Claude / Anthropic) — Build an Internal Enterprise System for a Fast-Growing Health Company Job description About us We're Next Health — the leading longevity and health-optimization company in the U.S., with wellness centers expanding across major markets. We move fast and we're building an internal AI system that lets a lean team operate like a much larger one. What we're doing We're standardizing on Anthropic's Claude as the backbone of our internal operations. We want to build a set of AI-powered systems and automations that take real, repetitive work off our team's plate — starting with finance/accounting and marketing, then expanding to reporting and internal operations. Think: automated financial reporting and reconciliations, expense and margin analysis, forecasting support, marketing content and campaign workflows, and dashboards that pull data from the tools we already use into clean summaries. We want a system, not a one-off script — something reliable, documented, and easy for non-engineers on our team to actually use day to day. Who we're looking for An engineer who has genuinely built production AI systems with Claude (or comparable LLMs) — not someone who has only experimented with chatbots. You should be able to design the architecture, build it, connect it to our existing tools, and hand it over in a way our team can operate without you in the room. Deep, hands-on experience delivering real systems for real businesses is what matters most; where you got that experience matters far less. What you'll likely work on Designing the overall architecture for an internal Claude-based system Building automations for finance/accounting first (reporting, reconciliations, expense/margin analysis, forecasting support) Building marketing automations next (content generation, campaign analysis, email/social workflows) Connecting Claude to the tools we already use (accounting software, spreadsheets, marketing platforms, cloud storage) via APIs and integrations Creating clean dashboards/reporting that roll data up into summaries leadership can act on Adding the guardrails that make an AI system safe for finance data: access controls, review steps, accuracy checks, and clear audit trails Documenting everything and training our team to run and extend it Must-have skills Proven, hands-on experience building AI/LLM systems in production — ideally with Anthropic's Claude API, otherwise OpenAI/comparable with clear transferable work Strong software engineering fundamentals (Python and/or Node.js typical), API integration, and automation/workflow design Prompt engineering and agent/tool-use design that's reliable enough for real business data Comfort connecting to third-party tools (accounting, marketing, data) via their APIs Ability to build for non-technical users and to document and train, not just ship code Clear written English and steady, proactive communication Nice to have Direct experience automating finance/accounting or marketing workflows Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks/NetSuite/Xero, HubSpot/marketing platforms, Google Workspace, and data/BI tools Experience with data privacy and handling sensitive financial information Experience with retrieval/RAG, vector databases, or building internal "assistants" over company data Engagement We're open to how we structure this — propose what you think fits best.
