Claude-Native Designer — Design & Ship Websites with Claude Code (Hourly, Ongoing)

The finish is the job — and increasingly, so is the start. This is a design role, not traditional front-end engineering. We're a small agency whose website production is already largely automated. What we need is a genuinely Claude-native, design-led person to own the design layer end to end, inside Claude. That means: brand identity and design systems, wireframes, and initial site drafts using Claude's design tools — and then taking those (and AI-generated drafts) to a premium, bespoke finish, shipping with Claude Code. You'll think fluently about visual and brand identity — art direction, graphics, colour, typography, layout and component systems — and about the last-10% craft (spacing, hierarchy, motion, restraint) that makes a page look designed, not generated. Work spans our own site, several clinical/doctor personal sites, and a policy site. This is ongoing and hourly (paid via Upwork Time Tracker), starting around 10–15 hrs/week and growing. You're a strong fit if you: - Have a portfolio showing real taste and restraint — brand/design systems, custom layouts, 2–3 colour palettes, deliberate type, consistent spacing, purposeful motion. - Can work upstream (identity, design systems, wireframes, drafts) AND downstream (finishing drafts to production-quality polish). - Already design and build with Claude (Claude design + Claude Code) or Cursor — not page-builders. - Communicate clearly in English and have a few hours/day of UK (London) timezone overlap. - Are happy working hourly, inside our environment, under an NDA. Not a fit: no-code/template work, or generic "vibe-coded" pages — purple gradients, default fonts everywhere, unmodified UI-kit components. How we hire: a short paid trial task → a 20-minute call → ongoing hourly work.
