Claude Skill Architect — Digital Design Systems & Brand Identity

We need a specialist to design and build a custom Claude "skill" — a structured instruction file that teaches Claude to produce on-brand digital design across our full digital surface area for one of our brands. This is a paid trial engagement at $1,200 fixed price. If the work is exceptional, it will expand to 3–4 additional brands in our portfolio. This is not a general prompting job. Claude skills are precise, opinionated instruction sets that govern how the AI makes design decisions — typography, color, spacing, layout, component behavior, tone, and more. Think of it as writing a senior designer's brain into a document Claude reads before touching any code or content. **Importantly: you will own the skill architecture.** We are not handing you a template to fill in. We want you to bring the best structure, format, and organization for how a Claude design skill should be built. If you don't have a strong opinion on this, this is not the right role. --- ## What You'll Receive From Us - **Partial brand identity** — core brand elements (colors, typography, logo) but not a fully built-out design system. You'll need to extrapolate intelligently from what exists. - **UI system documentation** — our full UI system: grid, spacing, layout rules, component patterns, responsive behavior - **Figma file access** — component library and any existing design assets - **Direct access to the brand owner** — for questions and review You will need to synthesize these inputs into a skill that is complete, precise, and opinionated — filling gaps where brand identity is partial with decisions that are consistent and defensible. --- ## Scope of Output The skill must enable Claude to produce high-quality, on-brand output across all digital touchpoints: **Web** - New landing pages and marketing pages - Ongoing site UI refreshes and additions as the site grows - New page types (feature pages, pricing, about, careers, etc.) - Component-level work (updating nav, footer, cards, modals, etc.) **Email** - Transactional email templates - Marketing and campaign emails - Nurture sequences - Consistent email design system (header, footer, CTA blocks, typography in email context) **Digital Design (Broader)** - Social media graphics and ad creative direction - Presentation templates and internal docs - Any other digital surface where brand consistency is required --- ## What You'll Deliver A single Claude skill file for one brand. The format and structure are yours to determine — we expect you to have a point of view on what makes a Claude design skill work well. At minimum it should cover: - **Brand token system** — colors, typography, spacing, border-radius, shadow specs - **Surface-specific rules** — how the brand adapts across web vs. email vs. other digital formats - **Layout and grid rules** — web responsive behavior and email layout constraints - **Component patterns** — the key building blocks Claude should know how to produce - **Trigger and activation logic** — when and how the skill activates within Claude's workflow - **Tone and copy guidelines** — how Claude should write for this brand across formats - **Hard constraints** — what Claude must never do for this brand, on any surface --- ## Who We're Looking For **Must have:** - Demonstrated experience with Claude specifically — not just GPT or general LLM prompting - A clear point of view on how Claude skill files should be structured and why - Ability to synthesize partial brand identity into a complete, consistent design system - Strong design sensibility across web and email — you need to understand the real constraints of both - Knowledge of email design limitations (email-safe fonts, inline CSS, dark mode handling) - Samples of previous Claude instruction sets, skill files, or system prompt work **Nice to have:** - Experience writing frontend code (HTML/CSS/React) - Experience with email coding (MJML, Litmus-tested HTML) - Experience building or maintaining design systems across multiple brands --- ## How to Apply Include in your proposal: 1. A sample or example of a Claude instruction set or skill file you've written — even a short one. This is non-negotiable; we will not shortlist without it. 2. How you would approach structuring a Claude design skill — what sections, what format, and why 3. How you'd handle gaps in brand identity — where you'd make decisions and where you'd ask questions We will shortlist 2–3 candidates for a small paid test before committing to the full project. --- ## Budget & Timeline - **Rate:** $1,200 fixed price (trial — 1 brand) - **Timeline:** Delivered within 1–2 weeks of kickoff - **Expansion:** Strong work leads to 3–4 additional brand skills, negotiated separately --- *We are not looking for the lowest bid. We are looking for the person who has built something like this before and can show us.*
