Clay GTM Engineer

We’re looking for someone who loves building intelligent prospecting systems. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited about Clay, AI, enrichment, buying signals, lookalike audiences, and finding prospects that everyone else misses, you’ll probably enjoy this role. This isn’t a traditional lead generation job. We already know who our customers are. Your job is to continuously discover more of them by building better systems. You’ll work directly with our product team to design and improve GTM workflows that identify high-value prospects, surface buying signals, enrich data, and continuously improve outbound performance. We’re looking for someone who enjoys experimentation, thinks analytically, and loves solving difficult research problems. Our customers include agencies, SaaS companies, affiliate marketers, consultants, and high-volume email senders around the world. What You’ll Do Build and continuously improve Clay workflows Create ICPs and lookalike audiences based on our best customers Discover new prospecting opportunities using buying signals, AI, and modern GTM tools Enrich companies and contacts using multiple data sources Build repeatable prospecting systems instead of one-off lists Research new industries, markets, and customer segments Run experiments to improve prospect quality and outbound performance Recommend new tools, enrichment sources, and workflow improvements Work closely with our product team to continually improve our outbound engine Tools You’ll Likely Use Clay Apollo LinkedIn Sales Navigator Ocean.io Similarweb BuiltWith Crunchbase Hunter Prospeo NeverBounce / ZeroBounce OpenAI / Claude Any other tools you believe improve results You’re Probably a Great Fit If You Love solving difficult research problems Think like a systems builder, not just a list builder Are naturally curious and analytical Enjoy testing, measuring, and improving processes Can explain your thinking clearly Have excellent written English Enjoy finding opportunities that other people miss Nice to Have Experience with: Email deliverability Cold email SaaS Marketing agencies Sales Operations GTM Engineering Hours Initially 10–20 hours per week with flexibility to grow for the right person.
