Client Concierge Customer Success Manager for Career Services Company with HR/Recruiting Experience
Worldwide
Client Success Manager (Recruiting / HR Background) — Career Services Company We're a fast-growing US-based career services company. We work one-on-one with experienced professionals — ICs, managers, directors, and VPs — to help them land their next role. We handle the whole search for them: resume work, LinkedIn presence, outreach to recruiters and hiring managers, application strategy, and interview prep. We're hiring a Client Success Manager to be the friendly, organized point of contact every client sees each week. The founder runs sales, strategy, and coaching. You run the engagement loop: a weekly deep review of every client's search, weekly 1:1s, chasing onboarding and action items, answering FAQs, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. We want someone WHO HAS HR OR RECRUITING EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE - because each week you'll be reading recruiter replies, application activity, and interview pipelines and knowing what they actually mean. This is a 6+month commitment, not a gig. You'll work directly with the founder, sit alongside our small back-office team, and grow with the role as we scale past 50 clients. ABOUT US - 20+ active clients at a time, with strong demand - Featured in major US business media - Average client placement in 8-10 weeks (about 50% faster than a typical job search) - Every internal workflow we use is AI-native — if a task can be automated, it already is WHAT YOU'LL DO - Run a weekly deep review of every active client's search — outreach sent, applications submitted, recruiter replies, and interviews booked — so you know at a glance who's on track and who isn't - Run weekly 1:1 meetings with every active client - Spot gaps early — a client who's gone quiet, outreach that's slowed, an interview that needs a follow-up — and act before it becomes a problem - Chase clients on onboarding checklists and weekly action items — politely, persistently, and without making them feel nagged - Answer "where do I find this?", "when will X happen?", "what am I supposed to do this week?" - Walk clients through the dashboard so they actually use it - Catch when our team has dropped a ball (resume late, deliverable stalled) and surface it before the client has to complain - Sit in client WhatsApp/Slack groups as the consistent voice; loop in the founder and back-office team when needed - Help turn warm signals — recruiter replies, alumni conversations — into booked interviews - Keep dashboards current and flag at-risk clients to the founder early WHO YOU ARE - Recruiting or HR background — agency, in-house talent acquisition, staffing, or career coaching. You understand how hiring actually works from the inside. - Fluent English, based in the Americas, the UK, or South Africa - Warm and responsive — quick to reply on chat, easy to talk to on camera - Genuinely client-focused — people feel taken care of when they work with you - Detail-oriented and organized enough to run 50+ client relationships in parallel without dropping threads - Comfortable politely chasing busy professionals to do things they said they'd do - Fluent in modern SaaS tools — CRMs, project management, Google Workspace, Notion-style apps - Fast on a computer — keyboard shortcuts, window switching, clean workflow - Strong on-camera presence — good lighting, good audio, professional background - Comfortable working independently after initial training, with the founder leading strategy and you running the engagement loop - Loves running processes and checklists more than reinventing them NICE TO HAVE - Strong familiarity with the US corporate environment — titles, org structures, hiring loops, decision-making cultures - Experience with hiring or job-search processes from either side of the table - Experience managing a book of clients or candidates at volume - Experience working with overseas teams — async communication, time-zone handoffs, cross-cultural collaboration - AI fluency — not critical, most of our processes are AI-native, we'll teach you WHAT YOU GET - 20 hrs/week to start, with a clear path to full-time for the right person - 6+-month commitment — this is a long-term role - Monthly bonus on top of base pay (when client gets interviews) - Participation in the commission pool and profit share - Remote, async-first work with direct access to the founder - Hands-on training in running an AI-native small business - A seat on a small, fast-moving team where your work matters HOW TO APPLY In your Upwork proposal, please answer these three questions briefly: 1. What gets you excited most at work, other than money? 2. Your favorite job-search or recruiting hack — if you have one. If we like your answers, we'll set up a short call. No cover letters required. We read every proposal.
