Hourly Rate: Open to Experience Project Type: Long-Term / Part-Time (with opportunity to grow) About Us Josaphat Surplus Funds is a California-based company that helps individuals, families, trusts, businesses, and estates recover surplus funds remaining after mortgage foreclosures, with future expansion into tax foreclosure surplus funds. We are building a professional, client-focused team and are looking for someone who can become a long-term member of our business. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Client Intake & Appointment Specialist to contact individuals who may be entitled to unclaimed surplus funds. Our research team identifies and verifies the leads. Your responsibility is to make professional outbound calls, educate potential clients about surplus funds, answer basic questions, qualify interested claimants, and schedule appointments with our office. This is not a high-pressure sales position. Many people have never heard of surplus funds, so professionalism, patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust are essential. Responsibilities Contact potential claimants using company-provided lead lists. Explain our surplus funds recovery services in a professional and respectful manner. Answer basic questions and build rapport. Qualify interested claimants. Schedule appointments directly with our office. Record detailed notes after every conversation. Conduct follow-up calls as needed. Maintain accurate records in our CRM. Meet weekly activity and appointment goals. Required Experience Applicants should have experience with one or more of the following: Appointment setting Cold calling Telemarketing Client intake Customer service Lead qualification Real estate outreach Experience with surplus funds, foreclosure-related services, probate, legal intake, financial services, or real estate is highly preferred. Qualifications Excellent spoken English Professional phone presence Strong listening and communication skills Comfortable handling objections Organized and detail-oriented Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment Experience using CRM systems (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) is preferred To Apply Please include: A brief description of your cold calling and appointment-setting experience. Any experience with surplus funds, real estate, foreclosure, legal, or financial services. Which CRM systems you have used. Your hourly rate. Your availability (hours per week). A short audio recording (1–2 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining why you would be a good fit for this position. Bonus Question (Required) One of the most common responses from a claimant is: "This sounds like a scam. How would you respond?" Please describe how you would handle this conversation professionally while building trust and encouraging the person to schedule an appointment. This position will begin with a paid trial period. Candidates who demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to schedule qualified appointments will be offered ongoing work.
